I've always loved Chinese food. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest we had a large Asian population and access to tasty Chinese food. Then when my sister moved to San Francisco, I was in heaven when I went to China town for the first time. Just like my quest for that perfect reuben sandwich, I'm always on the hunt for tasty Chinese food. China Wok is a very nice surprise. They too are a new restaurant opened next to Harris Teeter at Hoadly Rd and PW Parkway. I tried their Moo Goo Gai Pan which is a very mild dish of chicken, snow peas and muchrooms in a light white sauce. I usually try this dish first to see if they can make this dish tasty. Since the sauce is so light way too many restaurants make it bland and without flavor. Not at China Wok, it was full of flavor and the quality of the ingredients were quite good. The chicken portions were large and chunky yet very tender. The service was fast and the portions large. I quite enjoyed it. Over the coming weeks I will trying more dishes so check back soon for updates.
