There have been a few bumps in the road to be able to write and publish this review of the new Moe's Southwestern Grill. I frankly wonder how they are doing because it has been impossible to get the actual address and phone number of this place without calling 411. The parent company's Web site does not have this new location listed yet, the shopping center is not yet listed on Yahoo maps and a simple Google search doesn't even give a result.

My initial review of Moe's will be short because I need to go a second time to give them a more accurate and fair account of my experience there. One, it was very busy when I got there (which is generally a good sign) but their cash registers weren't working and customers were getting quite frustrated. I ordered take out just before the registers went down and was able to go the front of the line to pay because my order came up first. I saw my food sitting there while they were trying to fix the registers. They finally realized they could not fix them and had to tell the rest of the customers waiting that they would not be making any new orders and would be closing down until further notice. They finally did give me my order since it was already made and did not charge me for it. While I appreciated the free meal, they waited so long to do it that my lunch was cold and soggy.

What I can tell you, even though it was cold, is that the chicken in my burrito was very tasty as was the salsa that came with it. The portions were large and definitely filling. I am willing to give Moe's another try because the food looked good and there was a nice choice of items. I cannot help but compare it however to Chipolte which has similar menu items and a MUCH more organized way of taking the orders and fulfilling them. I also give Chipolte an edge on flavor. However, check back soon for an update to this review.
