We have been going here for lunch and dinner for a few months now. They
are a great family owned restaurant at Manassas airport, on the second floor
of Volo Aviation. You can sit and eat dinner and watch the planes take off
and land. They also serve takeout meals for flight crews coming in - along
with serving them in the dining room. They are open Tuesday through Friday
11am to 8pm and Saturday 9am through 8pm.

Their food is just incredible. I grew up with small family restaurants -
very few chains. This is the way that food should be. Everything is home
cooked by the owner (she is part owner with her two sons.) The mozzarella
sticks are hand cut and breaded, the fish is beer battered right there,
hamburgers that taste like good beef. My husband usually orders nothing but
the crab cakes. Every time we are in there someone is raving about them.
They have hamburgers, steaks, chicken, pasta and sandwiches, etc. The menu is
not large by most restaurant standards, but we have never had a bad meal
there. They also serve beer and wine.

I'm not related to the owners. But every time we go in they greet us as old
friends, as well as everyone else who comes in. We have never had bad
service there - something I am very quick to notice wherever we go. My kids
all want to go to Hoppy's for meals when we are out. That is a wonderful
change from their usual Burger King and McDonald's.

We were in last night and they were not busy, always people there, just
not busy. We talked for a while with the owners. They have a wonderful
restaurant but it is out of the way. No one would think to drive to the
airport for dinner. I would love to spread the word about this terrific
place. I am very good at letting people know when we have had a bad
experience. I never think to praise the ones we like.

Kathy
